Using Your Library » Contact Library Staff
The Richland Public Library welcomes suggestions from our customers for purchases of titles that are not currently available in the collection. For a number of reasons, the library is unable to order every title suggested. Library staff will evaluate all suggestions considering many factors including but not limited to budget, availability, space, review journals, and the scope of the collection. We look for material with broad appeal.
Due to space and budget, technical manuals and material are available via interlibrary loan only.
If you're interested in an older item (published more than three years ago) or a title with limited appeal to others in the community, please submit a request for an Interlibrary Loan. There is no charge for in Interlibrary loan unless the lending institution pass one along. There is a limit of 5 Interlibrary loan requests per month.
Please check the catalog before submitting a request for purchase form.
Only suggestions by Richland Public Library card holders will be considered.
Purchases are limited to our approved vendors.
Due to escalating costs, we no longer purchase commercial network television shows, and limit our purchases of older movies. Please check out Hoopla for television shows and movies.
If you're looking for music, please check out Hoopla to download music.
