Book Sales

Book sales occur in the Spring and Fall. We are able to put out thousands of books at unheard-of prices. There are often treasures to be found and, overall, these are wonderful opportunities to get some great books.

When we have leftover books, we seek to find others in the community who can use them. In the past, we have contributed books to Goodwill, seniors, and programs collecting books for soldiers who are overseas.

Prices

We accept payment by cash, check,  debit or credit card.

25¢ Items - Pocket paperbacks, magazines (1 Month Old), maps & music

50¢ Items - Children's books

$1 Items - All books are $1.00 unless otherwise noted.

Specialty books are priced according to their value.

About Our Book Room

Our Bookroom sells used books, magazines, various types of media, and book-related items. It is located off the Richland Library lobby. We would like to extend our hours, but for that to happen, we need to welcome new volunteers. Application forms are available in the Bookroom or on this website.

We keep a good mix of books in our retail space, and we try to turn them over at a reasonable pace so our regular customers have new books to find. Our prices are always low. We always have a few free items. Check us out. You need never leave empty-handed.

The citizens of our community continue to be most generous in donating books for re-sale. We gratefully accept all donations with the exception of items that we have learned do not sell. We appreciate your cooperation in not bringing those items to us (See the Donate section for more details.) Thank you.

All the funds generated through the Bookroom, with the exception of those spent for minimal operating expenses, are used to support library programming. Buying books at the Friends’ Bookroom is truly a win-win situation.
