Be a FRIEND – Volunteer

The Friends of the Richland Library welcome new volunteers to help with our activities. Volunteers are needed in our Bookroom to help with:
     •Sorting books, magazines and audio-visual materials to the appropriate sections
     •Pricing
     •Cashiers during store hours
     •Help with the biannual book sales – setup, sales, and cleanup.

No particular skills are required other than a love of books and a willingness to chip in and help out a worthy cause. We provide very simple training to help you get up to speed.

If you have questions about becoming a volunteer, please send an email to the bookstore manager or stop by the Bookroom when it is open, and chat with the volunteer who is on duty. You could also pick up a volunteer application form at that time.

All volunteers must meet the requirements for becoming a Richland Library volunteer and are subject to a criminal background check.
